Park policies to know before you play

Blossom Rock is home to a variety of Community and Neighborhood Parks. Some have interactive play structures while others feature relaxing gardens, shady groves, and fire pits.

FIRE PIT INSTRUCTIONS

Use code 1226# to light the fire pits between 6 and 10 p.m

Community parks

Community parks — like Painted Sky Park — are public spaces open for use by Blossom Rock residents and the greater community. They’re owned and maintained by the City of Apache Junction

Neighborhood parks

Neighborhood parks — like Goldstone Park and Cave Trail Park — are private resident amenities situated just steps from residents’ front porches. These pocket parks are owned and maintained by the Blossom Rock Residential Association.

While you’re out and about, keep in mind that we’re all responsible for helping to preserve the quality of our Neighborhood and Community Parks and ensuring the safety and longevity of these shared outdoor assets.

Here are a few common park policies for Community and Neighborhood Parks. For more detailed lists, check the full Blossom Rock Neighborhood Park Guidelines and City of Apache Junction Park Rules and Regulations.

Glass-free zones

For the safety of all park goers, keep glass bottles and bowls at home. Stick to plastic or metal containers instead.

Keep pets on a leash

Per the Pinal County leash law, pets need to be leashed at all times. If you’d like to let your four-legged pal run free, check out the off-leash Ruff Ranch Dog Park where you can also reserve the center area for training, pup parties, and more. Please also pick up after your pet by using the waste bags and receptacles at the park-side Pet Stations.

Inflatables are out

If you’re planning a birthday party or gathering at a Community or Neighborhood park, keep in mind that bounce houses and other inflatables are not permitted.

Wheels on cement only

Bikes, roller skates or blades, skateboards, hover boards are permitted on cement pathways only, to prevent damage to park grass, landscaping, and amenity structures. Motorized vehicles, like golf carts and e-bikes, are not allowed on sidewalks or paths within Painted Sky Park.

Keep fire pits free of debris

Be sure to exercise caution around the Neighborhood Park fire pits and keep them free of any foreign objects like rocks, food (sorry, no s’mores allowed at these fire pits), vegetation, or other debris. Use code 0427# to light the fire pits between 6 and 10 p.m.

Lower the volume

If you’re listening to tunes at a Neighborhood Park, try to keep the volume at a level that’s respectful to those around you. While it may be tempting to crank up your favorite jam, other park-goers may not enjoy your same style of music. If you’re at a Community Park, you’ll need a permit to play amplified sound or music.

No smoking, please

All Neighborhood and Community Parks are non-smoking spaces.

Catch and release

This one’s specifically for the lake at Painted Sky Park (a Community Park) that’s stocked with bluegill sunfish, channel catfish, and largemouth bass. Since it’s a catch and release lake, if you reel one in, be sure to put it back in the water for the next neighbor to enjoy.

Parking etiquette

While Blossom Rock’s Neighborhood Parks are pedestrian friendly and easily accessible by walking or biking, if you head over by car, you’ll need to park on the opposite side of the street since the areas immediately adjacent to the parks are considered no parking zones. If you’re headed to Painted Sky Park by car, please park in the nearby lot.
