Blossom Rock Pioneers: Jason and Trisha Bowman

Meet Jason and Trisha Bowman. With a shared love for the outdoors and a heart for community, they found the perfect fit in Blossom Rock. From mountain biking to hiking the Superstitions, they’re embracing all the area has to offer while getting to know their neighbors and looking for ways to get more involved.

What inspired you to choose Blossom Rock as your home? What do you enjoy most about living here?

The planned walking paths, community center, projected growth, and overall sense of community and neighborly vibes.

Tell us a bit about yourselves (background, careers, hobbies, how you met, etc.).

Jason grew up in San Diego. He moved to Arizona 20 years ago and is a Supervisor in the Water Resources Department for the City of Scottsdale.

Trisha is an AZ native. She has her insurance and real estate licenses. Her focus is on helping people find the health insurance plan that best fits their needs. She especially enjoys working with older adults who are on Medicare or aging into Medicare.

We enjoy volunteering and being active in our community church (Mission Community Church in Gilbert), hiking, trail running, mountain biking, raising three dogs, and loving our grown kids as they forge their own lives.

We met through mutual friends on Facebook and arranged to mountain bike together at San Tan Regional Park. We also got engaged and married there.

You really love hiking! Do you have any favorite trails in Apache Junction or nearby?

We love to hike the Superstitions.   Our favorite trails at the Supes are First Water Trail, Peralta and Bluff Springs loop, and Weaver’s Needle. Trisha hiked to the highest point of the Supes on the 5057 trail.

How have you gotten involved in the Blossom Rock community so far? Are there any ways you hope to stay connected or get even more involved?

We regularly attend events. Trisha is working on starting a Blossom Rock resident-led club; details coming soon. We walk our dogs and try to meet and greet new neighbors.

In your opinion, what makes a strong community? What qualities do you appreciate in great neighbors?

In my opinion, a strong community is built on trust, support, and shared values. It’s a place where people gather at events, feel safe, connected, and willing to help each other out. When everyone contributes in small ways — whether it’s volunteering, keeping the area clean, or simply being kind — it creates a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Great neighbors are those who are respectful, approachable, and thoughtful. I appreciate neighbors who say hello, offer help when needed, and are mindful of how their actions affect others. Even small gestures, like keeping noise down or checking in during tough times, can make a big difference in building a strong neighborhood bond.

What’s an interesting fact your neighbors might not know about you?

As a child, Jason was an avid BMX and motocross racer. He won several national trophies and awards.

Trisha was a competitive figure skater. She got her gold medal in national testing and coached figure skating for over 20 years.

If you have a great story to share or know a neighbor who’s making an impact in the community, we’d love to hear about it. Tell us in this short form and we might just feature you (or your neighbor) in our Blossom Rock Pioneers blog series.
